National Jamboree

This summer, from July 18th to August 1st, scouts from Troop 3 met up with our council contingent and went to the National Jamboree. On the way there, the scouts visited Washington DC and Gettysburg. for those who do not know, National Jamboree is a week-long assembly of scouts at the Summit Bechtel Reserve in NC. There are many fun things to do, such as ziplines, fireside chats, patch trading and much much more. There are also talks from the leaders of scouting and political leaders. In addition, the military had flyovers, demonstrations and parachute drops. At the end of the week the group went to the Hershey amusement park camp for one more night and then went back to the scout shop in Woburn and thus ended the most fun event of the summer.
